EXTERIOR OF A HOUSE ACCORDING TO VASTu

According to Dr Puneet Chawla :-

The exterior portion of a house plays an equally important role in determining whether the Vaastu of the plot is favorable for its residents or not.
FRONT COURTYARD
A damaged or worn out front courtyard indicates troubles and tensions for the family residing within its premises and hence should be avoided at all costs.
FRONT WALL
All the walls of the structure should be intact and well-maintained. A dilapidated front wall increases the chances of being vulnerable to litigation for its owners
PLANTS AND TREES
We can plant various trees to waive off the negative energy entering within our premises.
Ashoka- The Ashoka tree should be planted in the south and west directions of the plot as it blocks the entrance of negative vibes. A toran made of Ashoka leaves, if hung on the main entrance door, brings in prosperity and good luck for the family.
Tulsi- TheTulsi plant holds both religious and cultural values along with medicinal benefits. It helps countering various Vaastu defects and even purifies the surrounding air. It should be kept in the North-east direction or the center of the plot.
Pomegranate- adorning the East direction of the premises with a pomegranate tree is very auspicious as it welcomes Goddess Lakshmi.
Jamun- A fruit-bearing Jamun tree should be planted in the South and West directions of the plot.
Banana- A banana tree in the North of your house is very lucky for its residents. You can even worship it if it falls within the boundaries of your premises.
Mango- one should never plant a Mango tree within the boundaries of his house, however, if there already exists one, it should not be felled either.

You should not plant thorny bushes and trees within your plot or premise. If such plants exist, they should either be removed or their effect should be nullified by planting auspicious trees near them, as discussed above.
A tulsi plant sowed within the house premises brings in success, prosperity, wealth and good luck for its inmates. It is also said that worshiping the tulsi plant every morning gives the bearer the fruit of many Yajnas, offerings and sacrifices.
A patch of garden should always be created in the east, north, west or the
north-east portion of the plot.
If there happens to be a sacred Banyan tree in the vicinity of your house or plot, it should be worshiped on a regular basis, this would bless you with many fruitful results.
LANDSCAPING
·         The North of a plot, owned by Lord Kuber, should never have rocks and stone arrangements as this blocks the in-flow of cash, thereby blocking business deals leading to heavy losses. It also blocks opportunities from knocking at your door.
·         Rocky and elevated north-eastern side creates health problems and tensions for its occupants. This direction is occupied by Lord Shiva who encourages the flow of electromagnetic energy within the premises. Hence blocking this portion means hindering the free flow of this energy which in turn spoils name, fame and goodwill of the owners.
WATER
Pools, water reservoirs, boring Placing water elements like reservoirs, swimming pools and borings in the south or south-east direction can lead to major litigation problems, accidents and uninvited unforeseen circumstances for the residents of the house.
Flows and Slopes
Any drainage or slope for rainwater or otherwise should be located in the North side of the plot as this would ensure creation of wealth, prosperity and lots of opportunities for its inmates
