Surya is the one who provides life to this universe. He is positioned on a Lotus, has two hands and both holding the lotus buds. A Glaring crown on the head and a gem bead garland in the neck. His nature is hot and Pitta Karak. (Fiery). His complexion is red .
He rides on a Rath (Vehicle) which carry seven horses. The colour of the horses is green. The Rath has one wheel only.
His weapons are Chakra, Shakti, Pash and Ankush. He is the lord of Leo in the Zodiac. He stays one in each Zodiac and completes 12 months to complete all the zodiacs. His day is Sunday
His Mahadasha comes with a Tenure of Six years on one’s Janam Kundli.
Sun provides name, fame and honour in the society. In health he gives us general vitality, strength in eyes and heart.
